This pseudoscorpion was found during a leaf litter sort on the Lewis & Clark campus. Pseudoscorpions do not have a tail and stinger like true scorpions do, but both have evolved specialized claws called chelae from their pedipalps. Pseudoscorpions do have venom glands in their claws, but this is hardly something for humans to worry about. This pseudoscorpion was teeny tiny, so we used a 60x microscope lens to view it. It walked around and then started grooming itself.
